U13 Tackle Rugby Spring 2011
“Ridgewood Area Youth Rugby will be offering a U-13 Tackle Program for the spring of 2011. This will be a tackle program with each team fielding 10 players (5 forwards, 5 backs). This abbreviated form of the full game allows for increased participation as well as a more open field while transitioning from touch rugby and learning the fundamentals of the tackle game.

Four Team League to start
In conjunction with Play Rugby USA, there will be four teams participating in the program: Manhattan, Pelham, Rockaway (NY), and Ridgewood. Practices will start in late March and will be held on Wednesdays from 6-7 PM.

U13 Coaching
We will be working with an Australian coach and the Bergen County U-19 squad in preparation for the season.

Matches will be held in May 2011
Games will be held each weekend starting in May (Sundays May 1, 8, 15, and 22). Game time will be 11 AM - 1 PM. There will be one game each weekend; however the last weekend will be a tournament. Ridgewood will host one weekend matchup.
